Modern Calligraphy for Beginners
Join us at Coles Road Brewing in Berlin, CT for pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty night out!
Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

An Afternoon to Remember: Silent Art Auction in Honor of Tyler W. Scholefield
We’re gathering together to celebrate the life, love, and legacy of Tyler W. Scholefield (1984–2022) — a devoted father, loyal friend, gifted artist, and the kind of person who could make you laugh and make you think in the same breath.
Tyler was many things: a Montserrat College of Art graduate whose work and spirit left a lasting impression on his professors and classmates alike. A prolific artist who never stopped creating, even while working full-time to provide for his family. A guitar player. A little league coach. A gentle soul with a razor-sharp sense of humor and a heart that was always, always in the right place.
Above all, Tyler was a father — and everything he did, he did for his two kids.
Join us for a silent art auction featuring works that reflect the creativity and community Tyler loved so much. All proceeds will go directly toward the education of his children, carrying his legacy forward in the most meaningful way possible.
